2016 Inaugural Haiti Walk 5K

With the goal of delivering sustainable quality healthcare to children in need – VillageMED is raising funds to build a safe, secure, and clean pediatric medical clinic in Carrefour, Haiti.

Haiti Walk 5K is a family-friendly event that  bring together the metro Washington, DC community Saturday, September 23, 2017, for a brisk 5K walk from Carter Barron Park through Rock Creek National Park in Washington, DC.

Spearheading this outreach and fundraising drive is the historic Nineteenth Street Baptist, whose involvement builds on its storied legacy as the first African American church in Washington, DC.  Its extensive involvement with populations in Africa, Bahamas, Haiti, New Orleans and the local community gives them a unique understanding of the on-going needs of communities in distress.

Understanding that it really does “take a village” to protect and raise healthy children, VillageMED is honored to have a resourceful and caring community joining its efforts to build a clinic as part of our Haiti’s Healthy Child Project. Join us!

Thank You Nineteenth Street Baptist Church!
